Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial success of Soprano products and to ensure that the products Soprano takes to market resonate with our customer and prospects, and that they can see an easy way to purchase and use the capabilities.
You are responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including, gathering, and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product strategy and roadmap, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. It also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
This role will work with the product management team to answer fundamental questions such as:
What do current and future customers require from our products? Do our products meet the expectations of customers and maximise value? Do customers and staff know how to use our products effectively?
You have two primary interactions:
- To understand from our customers how they use our products and work on product fit improvement to help customers achieve their goals.
- Work with our internal sales, marketing and solution consultants to define high quality requirements to create and launch new products, and/or enhance the existing product set.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Gathers, manages, and prioritizes market and customer requirements.
- Develop, maintain and communicate the product and features roadmap(s).
- Acts as the customer advocate and be the voice of the customer.
- Understand customer psychology, pain points, and behaviour to infer their goals.
- Evaluate new technology and make recommendations on technological changes.
- Contribute to define and execute the product strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers of other Soprano product sets and work as a team to ensure that we provide a unified solution to our customers and the market.
- Administer and maintain all product, testing and documentation processes and product documentation.
- Perform product demos to internal teams, customers and partners as required.
- Evaluate and prioritise ideas while considering available resources such as time, budgets, customer demand and the like.
- Negotiate and liaise with stakeholders on costing, planning, budgeting, and resourcing product management requirements.
- Set product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Responsible and accountable for product accountability metrics as agreed with the department head.
- Follow the frameworks for product management and own the product release process to ensure continuous product releases cadence (min. 8 releases per year or as required).
- If required, hire, lead, coach and/or mentor other Product Owners/Product Managers as the team grows.
- Ensure the issue management system (Jira and Atlassian) is kept up-to-date and accurately reflects the current and following sprint and release priorities.
- Ensure development and implementation teams have approved the feature roadmap for the current and subsequent quarters, and all issues for the current quarter have been fully scoped and scheduled for specific sprints.
- Work with the development and QA teams to ensure the release process meets business and customer requirements and is efficient and regularly reviewed.
- Design feedback loops that allow us to monitor customer behaviour to learn, iterate and plan.
- Responsible for testing all features and releases of the conversational AI product suite.
- Create and maintain all product documentation and ensure knowledge of the platform is distributed through internal and external communications and rich media content.
- Communicate and publicise product updates and changes to customers through effective dialogue with sales, marketing and implementation teams.
- Support Marketing/Product Marketing teams to develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
- Ensure you are aware of yours and your team’s (if any) responsibilities in relation to company policies, including and especially IT Security policies applicable to your role, and that all requirements of these policies are met as it relates to you and your team’s (if any) role.
- Take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with a degree in Business Management, Engineering or IT.
