**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Does consultative selling across a portfolio of over 20 different solutions excite you? If you are a passionate salesperson, with experience in sales and account management, data and analytics, media, measurement or research/insight services, and love the thrill of chasing a new sale as much as building great client relationships - this role is for you

You will have the support of a team of solutions experts, as well as, your manager to support new business meetings and conversations. The account management aspect of this role will entail you being the key point of contact for a handful of active clients.

You will be dealing with a broad range of clients across different industries which will have varying needs, taking a client-centric consultative approach to sales will underpin your success in this role. Your focus with new business and account management will be to support advertisers and brands to identify, plan, activate and measure their media and marketing strategies using Nielsen’s suite of solutions.

We’re looking for an articulate, confident and driven professional who is not afraid to hunt for new leads. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously, but also enjoy collaborating with a diverse team of talented professionals who are passionate about the media industry. Sales and Account management experience within either research and insights or media analytics, would be highly valued. Media agency, Publisher/media owner experience would also be highly regarded.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- ** New Business**:

- Develop and implement sales growth strategies
- Drive commercial conversations with potential clients with the support of our Product experts
- Identify new business leads and opportunities
- Build out a substantial new business pipeline
- Achieve quarterly sales targets

Account Development**:

- Build a solid relationship with your clients as a trusted advisor
- Build out and implement and account growth plan
- Develop an understanding of their business and/or industry
- Identify upsell opportunities to grow the account
- **
Internal**:

- Develop a solid understanding of all relevant Nielsen services and solutions, and including knowing how to use our proprietary analysis software/dashboards
- Develop internal relationships across the Media team to get support identifying opportunities & conversion of sales

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 3-5 years in consultative sales experience, or experience as a sales representative, business development manager, account manager or account executive
- Understanding of the Media and Marketing Landscape (Traditional + Digital) in Malaysia
- Good client relationship and consultative sales experience within the media industry (i.e. digital publishers, TV broadcasters, media owners, advertisers, media agencies, government bodies, etc.) is highly regarded
- Experience with Nielsen solutions and or other market research tools and services is desirable but not mandatory
- Proven track record of success across new business generation and/or client servicing
- An understanding of the Malaysia business landscape and how data, analytics and insights can help achieve brands goals
- Proficiency in Salesforce, MS office and Google Suite is also desirable
