Import & Export Documentation (Freight Forwarding)

**Main Responsibilities**:
- To assist all aspects of freight forwarding including export and import shipments
- To prepare customs declaration forms for customs submission
- To be the focal point of contact in handling all customs formalities with the customs officials and other government agencies to resolve any issues that may arise during the customs clearance
- To check and advise clients as well as agents on the proper HS Codes
- To communicate with customs officials and other government agencies to resolve any issues that may arise during the customs clearance process
- To provide advice and guidance to clients/ agents/ colleagues on customs-related issues such as export/import regulations, customs clearance procedures and duty rates
- To keep up to date with changes in customs regulations and laws
- To communicate with relevant parties to ensure delivery times are met
- To perform any other tasks as and when required.
**Requirements**:
- At least 3 years of concrete working experience in customs declaration is required for this position
- Excellent ability to make effective analysis, discover gaps and define necessary actions
- Results driven
- Sound knowledge in import/ export and customs declaration in Malaysia
- Good computer proficiency in MS Office
- Customs Certificate (ie. KEK: Kursus Ejen Kastam) holder
- Proficiency in DagangNet system
- Good written and verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia, English (as well as Mandarin would be an added advantage)
- Proactive, meticulous, team player, initiative with positive work attitude
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work beyond office hours.
