Sqkii is known for our flagship #HuntTheMouse campaign that gives away cold, hard cash to players who find hidden coins. If you’ve seen Singaporeans squatting in random spots, walking around with metal detectors, or sticking their heads under tablesyou’ve probably seen one of our games in action. Besides our hunts, we also create custom games that bring players on other real life adventures and virtual journeys through their mobile screens — they’re also super cool, just ask the mouse.

Right now, we’re bringing #HuntTheMouse beyond the shores of Singapore to other cities across Asia-Pacific. We visited 5 cities in just Q2 2023 alone, and oh boy do we have big plans ahead. Big plans = bigger team, so we’re on the hunt (ha) for someone who wants to hop onto this thrilling ride.

As our Game Operations Specialist (Game Designer), you’ll work your magic behind the scenes to bring our current and future games to execution. Fair warning — we’re open to ideas from literally anyone in the team, so you can expect some pretty absurd plans amidst legit game thingamajigs. If you love games, understand games, we (and our Game Design team) are 200% ready to meet you.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Be responsible to execute the operational aspects of Sqkii’s gaming campaigns, ensuring alignment with core product goals and in-game content
- Actively engage with the game development team, providing essential insights and feedback to inform game content and strategy based on players data and feedback
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all games meet high standards and accurately reflect the latest builds and in-game content
- Conceptualising unique and engaging game concepts that can achieve stakeholders’ objectives without compromising on fun
- Assist in crafting game design strategies tailored to attract a hyper-casual audience, utilizing knowledge of gamer psychology and human-centered design principles.
- Conduct extensive playtesting throughout various stages of game development to refine mechanics, balance game economies, and understand player behaviors.
- Work closely with developers, copywriters, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality games that resonate with players.
- Be willing to travel frequently for game operation execution in different locales.

**What you’ll need**:

- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility and readiness to travel overseas frequently as part of the job requirements
- Strong capability to assess and manage safety risks, particularly in offline gaming environments
- Strong logical thinking abilities and a keen eye for detail, ensuring thoroughness in all aspects of the job
- Strong understanding of gamer psychology, motivations, and/or behavioural science
- Good written and verbal English communication skills

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
