**Purpose of the role**

Responsible for maintaining, managing, and optimizing the HRIS software (Talent Oz) and database. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, generating reports and analytics, supporting HR processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance HRIS functionality. Acts as a critical role in streamlining HR operations and decision-making through effective data management and reporting.

**Responsibilities**:

- To operationalise the HRIS system (Talent Oz) involves implementing new change requests, maintaining data quality, tailoring workflows, and integrating with other relevant systems such as learning and development, payroll, etc. This ensures data accuracy, up-to-date information, and consistency across various systems including IT and Security, resulting in enhanced operational effectiveness.
- To identify gaps and propose process improvements, which include implementing validation rules to prevent incorrect and incomplete data entries and reviewing and updating access levels (user permissions) to ensure data privacy and compliance on a day-to-day basis.
- To collaborate with HRBP to define reporting requirements from various business units such as Finance, Strategic Analytics, and faculty. Supports in creating standardized report templates and supports the development of a reporting framework that facilitates data-driven business decisions while addressing specific business needs.
- To develop and implement user guides and resource supports in facilitating self-service experiences. To maintain comprehensive documentation of HRIS procedures, processes, and policies to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and UNM policies.
- To collaborate with the PD team to conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support in assisting new users and end-users in utilizing the system efficiently and effectively.
- To provide user support and technical troubleshooting by reviewing queries, diagnosing issues, finding solutions, and implementing resolution actions across a wide range of stakeholders. Additionally, to liaise with vendors to address technical challenges, manage upgrades, and implement system enhancements.
- Supporting ADC to encourage open communication that provides honest and multi-directional feedback, resulting in driven collaboration across the University.
- To support any other duties that may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the department. These additional assignments will be thoughtfully provided as opportunities to grow and expand the skill set, taking on new challenges/projects that align with the expertise and contribute to the overall success of UNM.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-8 years of working experience in HR and working in the higher education environment.
- Proven experience as an HRIS Administrator, Reporting Analyst, or similar role.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and reporting tools.
- Well-versed in IT security & data privacy specific to technical troubleshooting skills for resolving system-related issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages to technical & non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
- Proficient in using SharePoint for efficient communication and record-keeping.
- Skilled in using data visualization tools and have experience creating meaningful and impactful visual reports.
- Passionate about technology with the knowledge and skills to make meaningful improvements to think beyond traditional solutions and adopt best practices in day-to-day routines.
