**Job Title : User Experience Designer**

**Location : Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia**

**1. POSITION OBJECTIVE**

The primary objective of the role is to provide the workflow & visual design services to the Design team utilising current and innovative design methods to create user interfaces for the product suite.

Provide advice regarding the development or enhancement of products in relation to look and feel, screen layout, workflow and useability.

***:
1) User Experience and Workflow design - Creation of designs, wireframes, sample layouts and concepts related to financial services products ranging from simple single page information presentment through to multiple page workflows involving hundreds of complex business rules by:
Liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand objectives.

Provide suggestions on approach for each project.

Demonstrate approach and concepts with illustrative skills, wireframes and rough sketches.

Provide estimates for effort of work on a project by project basis.

Completing full product visualizations to facilitate stakeholder review and signoff

Redefine as required based upon feedback

2) Management of Graphic Design Standards - Manage standards and libraries on behalf of the Design team to ensure consistency is maintained across the various platforms. This will include managing and enforcing

3) Evolving technologies and methods - Consult and/or advise management on evolving technologies, standards or methodologies related to user interfaces which would be of benefit to company.

Quarterly presentation to management on new technologies, standards or methodologies which may be of benefit to company.

4) Legacy Screen Reviews When current assignments are interrelated to legacy screens, make recommendations regarding potential enhancements to the screens to:
Ensure product look and feel and as consistent as possible with evolving design standards

Reuse of existing concepts where appropriate

Improve layout and workflow

5) Reporting - Report daily any projects or assignments where 15% or less of approved budget remains to Senior Manager Design.

6) Teamwork assist and give feedback to the wider Design team as required. Provide feedback and pro-active suggestions for process improvement.

7) Other Duties - Other duties as directed by your Manager from time to time.

**3. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

**Qualifications**:
Tertiary qualification in related field.

**Experience**:

- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in user experience design role
- Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Axure RP.
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of user journeys, web design and development methodologies.
- Experience within a financial services environment is highly desirable

**Competencies**:

- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge and a good understanding of html and other forms of code.
- Excellent communication and project management/coordination skills with demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise competing demands.
- Ability to work as part of a team, independently and under pressure.
- Ability to problem solve creatively, follow processes and think laterally.
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in technology and design areas.

**Skills**:

- Proven design skills, demonstrating experience in user interface design
- Able to analyse technical documentation, research and interpret to a customer experience
- Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
