**JOB DESCRIPTION**
1. Develop and implement policies and procedures of computer systems operation and development.
2. Supervise and ensure IT functions and activities.
3. Lead a team of IT engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and contribute to strategic IT planning and decision making.
4. Meet with departments to discuss system requirements, specification, costs, and timelines.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other IT professionals, managers, and external vendors.
6. Manage and control the existing IT hardware and software system implementations and information technology.
7. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of system development section.
8. Analyze, plan, implement and manage IT projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, develop project plans, allocate resources, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery.
9. To evaluate IT products and make recommendations to management.
10. Design and implement IT infrastructures.
11. Handle system administration tasks, such as managing servers, operating systems, databases, and other critical IT systems. Ensure proper installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these systems.
12. Server's administration, server problem handling, user account management.
13. Responsible for managing the organization's network infrastructure. This involves configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), monitoring network performance and security, and troubleshooting network issues.
14. Maintaining the security of the organization's IT systems. Implement security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
15. Provides technical support to users. Handles escalated technical issues, troubleshoots complex problems, and provides guidance and assistance in resolving IT-related issues.
16. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures. Creates technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide guidance to end
- users.
17. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential benefits and risks for the organization. Make recommendations for technology upgrades, implement new technologies, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
18. MRP system and software development support as and when required.
19. Monitor system performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize system configurations to enhance overall efficiency and reliability. Conduct capacity planning to ensure IT resources meet current and future needs.
20. To perform additional responsibilities as and when instructed by Department/Division Head.
**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION**
**REQUIREMENTS**
1. Minimum 5 years of solid experience in Windows server/network administration, computer networking and project implementation.
3. Good command of written and spoken English.
4. Applicants must be Malaysian citizen and willing to work in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
6. Proficient and familiar with server operating systems (Windows, Linux), MRP system, networking protocols, server administration, storage systems, cloud computing and security principles.
7. Knowledge of server virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and server provisioning, configuration and optimization is beneficial.
8. Familiarity with IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs is essential.
9. A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
11. Effective communication skills are essential to interact with team members, stakeholders, and users.
12. A commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices is necessary to stay relevant and adapt to new challenges.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
