Role Description *
**Role Summary**
Provide comprehensive planning, scheduling and booking for travel throughout Asia,
Europe and North America. Serve as a professional advisor and consultant based on your knowledge and experience as a travel professional.
**Responsibilities**:
- Gather and document for agreement high level trip requirements, destination, length, timing.
- Research and make recommendation the best options for cost effective airline travel based on price, flight connections & duration, preferred Airlines/Airline Alliances.
- Research and make recommendation on lodging hotels vs airbnb based on cost, amenities, convenience of location and hotel loyalty program status.
- Research and recommend events, sights to see, and local points of interest in destination cities/countries.
- Book agreed to travel ensuring frequent flyer numbers are recorded preferred seats and meals are requested.
- Book agreed to lodging ensuring loyalty program is recorded, preferences are requested.
- Discuss and agree on local transport options to/from the airport and while at the destination eg car rental, train, Grab/Uber. Arrange as agreed.
- Prepare travel packet in advance of each trip with all tickets, reservation confirmations, visas etc.
- Be available to assist with urgent out of hours calls in the event of unplanned circumstances, ie flight cancellation.
- Track and report annual travel expenses against budget.
**Skill Requirements**:
- Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends/Restrictions ie COVID
- Proficient in use of spreadsheets Numbers preferred.
- Knowledge of and advanced skills and experience with travel industry sites airlines, hotels,
Airbnb, European train networks, rental car companies, event booking sites. etc.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize work
- Competent with all aspects of reservation transactions.
- Proficient with International Itineraries and rate structures.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary degree or certificate a plus.
- 3+ years travel industry knowledge and experience.
- Attention to detail, active listening skills.
- Proactive problem solving and initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new functions and to enhance existing skills.
- Dependable and punctuality are required.
- Available during agreed hours.
**Other**:
- Access to Computer with High Speed Internet Access
- Access to messaging app iMessage or Signal preferred, alternative WhatsApp
- Proficient in English language
**Job Type**: Freelance
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
