**Role Purpose**:
**Main accountabilities but not limited to the following**:
Managing self and others
- Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.
- Has the ability to work independently and manage workload against project deadlines.

Financial Support
- Plan and report on project financial plans and budget expenditure and forecasting to Programme Managers and Head of Programme Delivery; manages smaller budgets.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date records on all financial transactions as per audit requirements.
- Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on time and in accordance with FABS on-line system (SAP Finance) guidelines.
- Compliance to BC financial policies and procedures.

Project Management
- Responsible for programme data management including timely data entry, quality assurance of data, undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data, and developing progress reports to meet needs of funders.
- Supports internal compliance such as due diligence, records management, data collection and storage.
- Manages grants administration, selection & evaluation, and procurement processes.
- Manages events-based components and trainings within a programme.
- Supports the project / programme manager in implementing diversity mainstreaming action plans and contributes to it.

Relationship and Stakeholder Management
- Manages relationships with clients/partners/stakeholders at appropriate level.
- Manages relationship with vendors and suppliers and holds them to account for delivering services.
- Responsible for checking, sanitising, updating and consolidating stakeholder database, and support growth of the database in accordance with team targets.
- Providing insights and feedback to enhance the efficiency of stakeholder data storage and management.

Communications
- With guidance from programme manager, to plan, prepare and disseminate key information about British Council Programmes to internal and external stakeholders
- Spot good news stories, interesting lessons and case studies and work with the programme Manager and local/regional comms and business unit leads to develop these into communications opportunities.
- Take steps to ensure programme visibility on internal and external channels/forums on a regular basis
- Work with marketing and communications team to develop materials such as electronic direct mailers and social media postings as required
- Ensure digital information including the education page on the website is up-to-date and presents accurate information

EDI

**Role specific knowledge and experience**:

- Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or projects.
- Administrative, document management and financial administration experience.
- Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how they are central to good project management.
- Able to manage delivery of digital events on basic platforms (Microsoft Teams) and face to face events ensuring all corporate standards are met, including those for accessibility and safeguarding (desirable)
- Working knowledge of British Council SAP system or similar software (desirable)
- Confident user of information technology (Word; Excel; PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365 functionality
- Ability to conceive, develop and produce effective written material for education programme marketing collateral.
- Experience in developing communication materials such as electronic direct mailers and social media postings.
- Experience in managing and maintaining stakeholder databases.
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work cooperatively and effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of latest trends and issues on International Education (desirable).
- An understanding of Malaysia social media scene and audience (desirable)

**Pay Band**: 4 (from MYR 2,884 per month)

**Requirements**:

- The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required at level B2.
- Malay at Proficient Level - Native / bilingual
- Knowledge of other ethnic languages in Malaysia would be beneficial (desirable)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
