IT Support Executive

Location: Onsite, KL office, Malaysia
**IT SUPPORT EXECUTIVE**
As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office's technological infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- **Setting up and maintenance of all office computers and printers**:Configuring and maintaining desktop computers, laptops, and printers to ensure optimal performance and functionality for all users.
- **Request for quotation from computer vendors for purchasing and maintenance purpose**: Collaborating with vendors to obtain quotes for purchasing hardware and software, as well as negotiating contracts for maintenance services.
- **Carrying out daily system back-up and maintenance**:Implementing and managing backup solutions to protect critical data and ensuring the integrity of systems through regular maintenance activities.
- **Server and network maintenance**: Monitoring and maintaining servers and network infrastructure to ensure availability, reliability, and security.
- **Handling users’ PC problems**:Providing technical support to users for issues such as setup, software installation, and troubleshooting, either in person or remotely via telephone or other communication channels.
- **Configuring basic level switches**: Proficiency in configuring and managing basic-level switches to maintain network connectivity and optimize network performance within the office environment.
- **Troubleshooting PC issues**:Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve common PC issues efficiently, including hardware and software problems, to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted workflow for users.
- **Attending and troubleshooting user requests and issues**:Addressing hardware, network, and software-related problems promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations.
- **Web Page Updating**:Updating and maintaining web pages as necessary to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to users and customers.
- **Working closely with Group IT**: Collaborating with the Group IT team to develop and enforce IT policies and processes across the organization.
- **Asset management**:Ensuring all onsite IT assets are properly reported, audited, tagged, and labelled for tracking and accountability purposes.
- **Basic knowledge of SAP**:Having a basic understanding of SAP software is advantageous for assisting users and integrating IT systems with SAP functionalities.
- **Knowledge of Google Workspace**:Proficiency in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) to support users and leverage its collaboration and productivity tools effectively.
- **Global support**: Being capable of working and providing IT support to users across different locations globally, ensuring consistent service delivery and adherence to company standards.
Overall, the IT Support Specialist role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to meet the IT needs of the organization effectively.
