HR Payroll Specialist

Process monthly payroll cycles accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile timekeeping records, ensuring accurate inclusion of commissions.
- Handle the preparation and submission of Employment Authorization (EA) forms in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Collaborate with related departments to gather and update employee information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
- Manage commission calculations and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Verify and process employees’ claims and ensure claims are processed accurately.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, benefits, and deductions.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and employment authorization requirements to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll activities.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
