Finance and Admin Manager

A siphonic drainage company located in Selangor is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Finance and Admin Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensures compliance of all accounting, taxation, and statutory obligations.
- Manage company’s cash flow on a day-to-day basis.
- Establish and review budget process to measure actual against budgeted performance.
- Prepares timely and reliable forecasts of expected performance and cash flows.
- Ensure projects are accurately accounted for and project performance reported on a timely basis to the business.
- Improve business performance through close integration of financial and operational.
- functions.
- Partner with the GFM & CFO to deliver precise consolidated reports and enhance financial processes.
**GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS**
- Oversee accounting for the company, providing timely and accurate reports to GFM & CFO.
- Contribute to the accounting policies and procedures, assisting in improving and administering approved by subsidiary’s procedures alongside the GFM & CFO.
- Holds authority as a co-signatory for EFT payments.
- Controls the maintenance of general ledger, work in progress, fixed asset register, banking, debtor control, creditor control.
- Collaborate with external auditors, both local and in Australia, to audit financial statements.
- Assist in preparation of financial data for submission to internal and external parties as required.
- Implement strategies to optimize financial resources for meeting operational objectives.
- Engage in investment policy, capital distribution, evaluation of projects, and risk reduction for asset protection.
- Regularly review inter-company loans and ensure monthly reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts.
**TAXATION**
- Ensure compliance with all accounting, taxation, and statutory obligations.
- Communicate with Malaysia Inland Revenue regarding taxation and auditing.
- Manage statutory returns and payments, ensuring timely lodging and payment of all tax returns.
- Monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet and authorization to ensure the company’s statutory compliance.
- Provide taxation advice to management as required.
**BUDGETING**
- Assists with driving the annual budget process.
- Ensures ownership and understanding of budgets.
- Implements a process to regularly review actual performance against budget.
- Regularly review forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making and assess future performance effectively.
**INSURANCE AND FINANCING**
- Supports in developing and implementing standards, policies, and procedures for managing and maintaining plant, equipment assets, and insurable risks at the company.
**REPORTING**
- Ensure the timely development and preparation of financial and accounting information for the businesses management team and the subsidiary’s board on a weekly, monthly or ad-hoc basis.
- Interpret the statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of cost, budget, efficiency of operations, trends, and increased profit possibilities.
- Prepare statistics for periodic and yearly financial statements, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing progress and results.
- Prepare andevaluates capital expenditure projects and long-range financial plans and forecasts and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Ensures consolidation of regular reports, budgets, and forecasts for submission to management.
- Prepare all schedules for financial reporting in accordance with statutory requirements and the needs of management.
- Provide reports to management as needed.
**Job Requirements**:
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in team development and leading professional staff.
- Experience in project/job cost accounting, Work in Progress (WIP) and reporting.
- Proficient in using Workbench and MYOB accounting software.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
