**Global Risk**

Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of
**Assistant Manager, Analytics & Portfolio Management.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Undertake precise and comprehensive data analytics to provide constructive insights and recommend policy formulations and portfolio management and strategy development actions to support country’s growth ambitions and deliver the protect agenda of WPB Lending.
- Responsible for periodic and timely MI preparation and reporting to meet internal and regulatory requirements in-country and to Region or Group. To investigate and resolve data irregularities in MI feeds to achieve accuracy and quality in reported contents.
- Responsible for all ad-hoc risk management analytics to support Secured lending which requires constant development of new analytic dimensions and metrics as well as the use of new tools as risk management dynamics evolve.
- Monitor irregular trends and identify root causes at new originations and portfolio level referencing to established metrics and parameters and to deploy suitable and timely changes to analytic approaches as conditions evolve. Recommend precise and timely policy changes basis on observed trends and root causes.
- Undertake analytics across all functional areas in the end-to-end Secured lending life cycle to enhance the SLOD oversight carried out by WPB Risk to assess adequacy of controls. Such oversight spans across activities from product/campaign development, loan submissions, underwriting, disbursements, collateral management to Collections as well as analytics support required under the project end-finance and climate risk governance.
- Identifying positions that contravene the bank's credit risk appetite, policies and thresholds, support the implementation of underwriting and risk management models, review of portfolio vis a vis readings on market and competitors’ positions.
Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of retail banking operations, particularly mortgage and the residential sector would be added advantage.
- Incisive ability to analyze data and form judgment with a strong ability to translate the observations into precise actions.
- Competent and convincing in documentation, articulation and substantiation of analytics outcomes to support proposals on policy, portfolio and operational actions.
- Strong ability to grasp data structure quickly and is highly organized in database maintenance.
- High degree of discipline on adherence to delivery timelines and ability to multi-task on parallel priorities.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge in Excel and Power Point.
