**Job Purpose**

To assist the Senior Security Assistant, Acting Team Leader or Senior Team Leader in performing the security and safety activities as defined to be carried out every shift which include the guarding of the entrances, manage and control the access of contractors and suppliers via loading bay, key management, effective patrolling, ensuring the safety of staff, property, patients and public is always maintained.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- To carry out security activities such as guarding, security checks and access controlling effectively and ensuring the attendance at the designated posts of Assunta Hospital and College of Nursingis always maintained.
- To ensure the situation is recorded at all post’s duty checklist every rotation and shift and passing over the report to the team leader in the timely manner. To attend roll call and daily briefing by Team Leader 10 minutes prior to each handing/taking over shift.
- To ensure clocking / patrolling is conducted as assigned every 2 hours day/night shift at Assunta Hospital, car park and College of Nursing building and to make sure all lights are switched on and switched off at district area in the proper timely manner.
- To provide customer services such as push the wheel chair to the ill patient at the entrance and giving clear directory signage to all visitors and patients.
- To ensure the safe keeping of all keys kept in the control room is always maintained. The records of issuing and returning of keys are properly documented.
- To ensure wearing full and clean uniform, equipped with accessories and equipment on duty.
- To inform visitors politely when the hospital visiting hour is over and to invite if there is any unwelcomed visitor lingers at the waiting lounge or wards to leave hospital.
- To be alert for any suspicious person around Assunta Hospital and College of Nursing and coordinating with co-colleagues with and without instruction from Chief Security Officer to ensure the movement of the suspicious person is been closely monitored.
- To ensure the traffic flow at every post that stationed or rotated are well-managed and control.
- To assist the Senior Team Leader, Senior Security Assistant or Acting Team Leader to take records of investigation as and when there is incident / accident happens during the shift you are in charge and report to Team Leader immediately.
- To ensure the procedure of handling deceased body / amputated limb from the respective ward / department, the correct route of bringing the body to mortuary and observes the body is transported to the vehicle by deceased relative or appointed undertaker is followed strictly.
- To follow the instruction from Team Leader or Chief Security Officer in response to all routine, emergency situations, unwanted disaster.
- To assist in handling aggressive patient / relative, man trapped in the lift as and when required by other department.
- To accept, record and safe keeping the lost and found items from the person found the item and report to Team Leader immediately.
- To escort Cashier when transferring the cash from Express Counter to Centralized Safe Room.
- An Emergency Response Team (ERT) member to manage the fire incident in association with the Local Authority Emergency Services (BOMBA) and carry out the necessary procedure in response to Code Red according to the Hospital Fire Policy.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum SRP/PMR/SPM
- Computer literate.
- Minimum 2 years of above working experiences in related field if a Security Assistant and minimum 5 years of above working experiences in related filed if a Senior Security Assistant post.
- Able to work in shift rotation.
- Good interpersonal skill and able to work independently.
- Age - 23 to 45
- Able to speak Malay and basic English
- Warganegara Malaysia.

**Working Conditions**

Some works to be conducted within the building which is air-conditioned. The stations of post at the entrances are outside building but under the roof.

**Physical Requirements**

The incumbent must have the ability of standing for long hours at one stationed post, a lot of physical moving within and outside building or around security post.

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
