We are looking for an Area Manager to join our team that is responsible for overseeing the client service, driving sales, people development, merchandising, and operational functions of their designated Area of stores to deliver on store KPI’s and maximize profitability. The Area Manager will lead a team of store managers as well as field executive roles to develop a culture of engagement, innovation and motivation within the store network.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Role Model
- Fostering an environment that nurtures the development of people within the retail network
- Motivating and inspiring team to deliver best in class service standards within stores
- Leading Sephora’s culture of engagement, innovation and fun within the store network
- Demonstrating self-control in all circumstances and high ethical standards
- Be available to and flexible with team members
Business Results
- Delivering top line business KPI’s for district, including Sales, Conversion, Average Basket
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels are being achieved through store rosters while adhering to budget goals
- Monitoring Daily, Weekly and Monthly results and communicate to broader team
- Preparing weekly and monthly reporting
- Identifying and analysing amount of time Beauty Advisor allocate to responsibilities other than sales/service. Subsequently, providing and implementing recommendations, which will maximize the sales staff’s time with their customers
- Identifying value added activities that increases individual KPI’s and cross-selling
- Issuing and analysing monthly reports (Match-to-traffic, units per Worked hour) and providing recommendation to ensure that staffing is in line with the respective store’s customer traffic.
- Monitoring services standards across all stores ensuring high customer engagement and satisfaction
- Achieving store profitability targets by achieving sales targets and controlling store operating expenses
- Working closely with Store Members to understand and grow our Love Meter rating
Operations
- Ensuring operational effectiveness across all function of the store environment
- Maintaining acceptable scores on any store Audits
- Ensuring all Sephora policies and procedures are being followed within the store network
- Overseeing the Inventory Control Lead in their role, ensuring they are effectively delivering on objectives
- Overseeing the Visual Merchandising Executive in their role and ensuring they are effectively delivering on objectives
- Training and on-board new store managers
- Ensuring store presentation is in line with Sephora expectations (both front of house and back of house)
- Partnering with IC Leads and Store Managers to ensure a strong inventory position in all stores
HR and People Development
- Fostering an environment that provides development opportunities at all levels of the retail team
- Directly coaching and developing the store managers as well as field executives in their roles
- Developing store management team to be effective leaders through training and in store coaching
- Completing performance reviews for all direct reports, implement performance plans as and when required
- Acting as the first point of contact for any store level people issues
- Reviewing and analysing store headcount to ensure the optimal team size and structure in all stores
