**What’s the role?**

As Format and Alliances Manager, you will aim to attract and retain customers who visit our retail stations, build long-term customer loyalty, and create demand for Shell’s brand; Business Development which looks to identify new opportunities as well as to leverage more from existing accounts; and Strategy which aims to provide expert problem-solving and project management support as the business transforms to be a customer-centric Mobility retailer with a business model that is resilient in the energy transition.
- Covers markets where it is possible to implement global marketing strategies without changing them.
- Provides operational input from own area for departmental strategy and objectives. Is accountable for the realization of the operational plan.
- Has multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical and strategic levels and manages opposite interests.
- Manages a team that translates organizational needs and developments to policies, plans, and procedures for its own professional area
- Portfolio covers medium complexity markets - there might be local needs to adjust global initiatives.
Contributes from own area to the development of departmental strategy and objectives. Is accountable for the realization of objectives for own area.
- Contacts and co-operates with stakeholders throughout the entire organization and with external parties on a tactical level and manages opposite interests. Has multiple interfaces which require extended communication.
- Develop end-to-end cutting-edge project delivery, design & drawings, and improved processes up to the actual opening of new Shell convenient stores throughout the country across all platforms.
- Collaborated closely with the Fresh Food & Drinks team to replicate and scale-up global best practices in the most cost-efficient ways, such as the Shell Café introduction that has great potential to generate value improvements to NFR Malaysia.
- Initiate continuous commercial negotiations, deal structuring and making, project management of pilots/proof of concepts, and scale/replication of extremely material projects to the group
- Effectively managed my portfolio by conducting timely Partners Management Reviews, Contract Management, and ownership of the leasing process

**What we need from you?**

As Format and Alliances Manager you will be responsible for accelerating business expansion, strategy formulation, internal and external stakeholder management, and accurate solutions to futureproof the organic and inorganic income levers in a sustainable and compliant way.

You will also Negotiate high commercial worth contracts to increase Shell’s material value in the Alliances ancillary business of both Co-locators of CLIPs and Drive-Thru. Upgrade the Shell network in an optimized format layout design to make the best use of the Net Usable Area. Responsibly led the team to:

- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience
- Sharp commercial and external mind-set
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - able to quickly determine the impacts of external/ internal changes or emergencies on the business and arrive at best-integrated decisions quickly
- Some knowledge of contract Negotiation will be a plus
- Good stakeholder engagement/communication skills, externally & internally
- Ability to work independently to drive results and deliver through others in some cases
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
