**The Role of the Hostess - CHINESE SPECIALTY RESTAURANT**

The restaurant host/ hostess is the first colleague to interact with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant. He/ she should ensure to provide proficient and professional Food & Beverage service to the guests by meeting and also exceeding their expectations. Welcome the guests by greeting them as per the standards and respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction. He/ she will assist in sitting guests and provide occasional assistance to guests on menu items.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of MO Pillars and Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission & Vision
- Follow the daily opening and closing duties
- Take accurate and complete reservations
- Set and maintain the dining room environment and material perfectly clean
- To have necessary knowledge of menu items to assist guest occasionally
- Assist guest and colleagues courteously and efficiently
- Use the guest name appropriately and communicate it to restaurant colleagues and managers so that they can use it as well
- Assist restaurant colleagues prepare for service
- Assist in monitoring all guest needs
- Confirm daily reservations

**Preferred Qualifications And Skills**
- Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management/ Catering
- Minimum 2 years relevant job experience in similar capacity
- Knowledgeable about customer service and guest contact skills
- Knowledgeable about handling guest/colleague complaints and dealing with guests
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Ability to communicate in other languages would be an advantage
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Windows and InfoGenesis System
- Able to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Pleasant with positive attitude
- Good communication and administrative skills
- Willing to work shift duties
- Must have working rights in Malaysia
