Staff Digital Operations Manager

**Job Description Summary**: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Staff Digital Operations Engineer to join our growing Digital Transformation team at our renowned Aerospace Commercial Engine MRO Shop in Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in business operations and digital technologies to drive significant improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and cost optimization across our organization. As a mid-career professional equivalent to a Manager, you will operate as an individual contributor, leading the charge on critical digital initiatives and collaborating closely with stakeholders across all levels.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
In this role, you will:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Digital operations to identify key challenges, opportunities, and areas ripe for digital transformation.
- Possesses hands-on experience running IT Infrastructure Operations - including (but not limited to) WAN, LAN, Servers, PCs, Peripherals and IT Security - in a large multinational manufacturing environment.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of chosen solutions, ensuring seamless adoption and optimal performance within your designated area of responsibility.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions, including user guides, training materials, and operational procedures.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, identifying and recommending improvements for maximized impact.
- Foster close collaboration with IT, Engineering, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful integration of digital initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the digital landscape, particularly those relevant to the aerospace industry.
- Proactively share knowledge and expertise through training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
**Required Qualification**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business operations, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging digital technologies to solve complex business problems and achieve operational excellence.
- Proven track record of success in leading and implementing major projects, with a strong focus on delivering tangible results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools (e.g., data analysis tools - Spotfire, Power BI, cloud platforms).
- Experience with IIoT platforms and predictive maintenance solutions is a strong plus.
- Experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP HANA would be an added advantage.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Experience/Familiar with Financial process (Capex, Opex, budgeting, cost control, and governance).
- Experience in identifying and managing internal/external service providers.
