Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Source materials and negotiate prices, manage contracts, and ensure timely procurement to meet business needs.
  • Oversee projects and tenders to guarantee efficient procurement processes.
  • Handle daily purchasing tasks such as processing purchase requests, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, conducting open bids, comparing options, preparing purchase approvals, and processing payments for review and approval by management.
  • Manage purchase orders and payments, ensuring accuracy in terms of shipping, delivery, and pricing to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Issue purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable payment terms and build strong relationships.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track order progress, manage shipment clearances, and resolve urgent matters when they arise to minimize disruptions.
  • Utilize effective negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, driving business growth and cost savings.

Qualification Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with experience in the glass manufacturing industry being advantageous.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Mandarin, Malay, and English to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Required Mandarin language skills to communicate with both internal and external parties.
  • Able to perform overtime to troubleshoot urgent/emergency matters and ensure business continuity.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and negotiation skills to drive business results.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of parts and equipment/machinery used in glass manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word to analyze data and create reports.
