Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to fill the role of Monitoring, Testing & Oversight (MTO) Analyst in our Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) team. This position is critical to the success of our risk management and prevention program, ensuring compliance with AFC policies and procedures while safeguarding our organization's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the AFC MTO Lead in designing and implementing a comprehensive AFC monitoring and testing program.
  2. Conduct regular reviews of AFC controls and processes, identifying areas for improvements and enhancements.
  3. Oversee AFC activities across the business, ensuring effective governance and risk management frameworks.
  4. Collaborate with senior management to escalate compliance issues and ensure timely remediation.
  5. Prepare detailed reports on monitoring and testing outcomes for senior management and relevant committees.
  6. Align the AFC monitoring and testing program with abrdn's Global AFC Policies and Standards.
  7. Provide expert guidance and training on AFC monitoring and testing procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • ICA Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven expertise in assurance testing within the financial services sector, preferably with an understanding of asset management and advisory businesses.
  • Financial Crime experience including an ICA Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
