Business Analyst Job Description

This Senior Business Analyst position plays a vital role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency within the Underwriting Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business solutions, leading project teams, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to gather business requirements and analyze business processes.
  2. Lead project resource planning, design, and implementation of business requirements and system modifications.
  3. Communicate project progress and outcomes to key stakeholders.
  4. Conduct pre- and post-delivery quality control to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  5. Assume overall project management responsibilities, including project and resource planning.
  6. Apply various delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean/Six Sigma.

Requirements:

Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration/business analytics/Information Technology/Computer Science/Data analytics.
  2. 4 to 5 or more years of experience in a business analyst role, process improvement, data analyst or similar capacity.
  3. Proven experience in relationship management, business analysis, process improvement, and project management within a corporate environment.
  4. Experience working in business processes and re-engineering, including simplification, digitalization, and automation implementations.
  5. Experience in new product and new distribution channel implementation.
  6. Proficiency in business process modeling, analysis tools, and methodologies.
  7. Delivered projects using methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Good understanding/working experience in computer programming concepts.
  2. A team player with a good cultural fit to Zurich.
  3. Good understanding of intelligent automation technologies and capabilities.
  4. General insurance or CX/UI/UX domain capabilities.
  5. Yellow Belt/Green Belt Lean Six Sigma, PMP certification.
