About the SME & Growth Business Team

The SME & Growth Business team at Airwallex is a collaborative group of business champions dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to thrive in the global economy. We combine deep financial expertise with a growth mindset, working closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored solutions that streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams.

Your Role

The Channel Partnerships team in Malaysia is responsible for expanding Airwallex's partner relationships, specifically across three core industries: Accounting, Start-ups & Ecommerce. We're seeking a strategic, data-driven Channel Partnerships Manager to support the Malaysia Partnerships team.

Responsibilities

  1. Acquire and manage relationships with Airwallex ambassadors and strategic partners, particularly within e-commerce, accounting, & the start-up space.
  2. Manage all processes for acquiring and managing Airwallex partnerships (prospecting, meetings, contracting, integration, onboarding, and ongoing management/activation).
  3. Overachieve revenue targets through referrals from your partnerships.
  4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams within Airwallex to deliver a seamless experience for our partners.
  5. Maintain ongoing engagement with partners to build long-lasting relationships.
  6. Contribute ideas and initiatives to senior stakeholders on how to strengthen our partner network.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in partnership, sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Negotiation and partnership proposal development experience preferred.
  • Strategy/ops or tech/fast-growing start-up experience advantageous.
  • Existing relationships/strong network with referral partners in accounting, technology, e-commerce, or start-ups preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills in English; Chinese optional.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
