As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for providing routine service and sales support to our strategic district accounts, executing agreed-upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required.
  2. Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  3. Support services include: Sample testing, light maintenance, customer service, service report generation, chemical ordering, chemical inventory management, general labor activities.
  4. Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical/industrial/environmental)
  2. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  3. Proactive, independent, and positive attitude with a business mindset.
  4. Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems would be an advantage.
  2. 1 to 2 years experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industry.
  3. Ability to sell value-added products to customers.
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude.
  5. Able to speak local dialects.
