Job Requirements

We seek an experienced and strategic Head of Regional Financial Controlling to oversee financial operations, reporting, and governance for our global entities. This role demands a hands-on approach to financial management, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

This position reports directly to the Group Financial Controller of SWIFT and leads a team of 10 finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, considering local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, including statutory audits and filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to complete audits without findings.

Finance Management

  • Improve working capital management, cost control, and efficiency.
  • Implement financial controls and policies to minimize risk.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of 10 professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for regional leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Present financial results and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Implement and optimize financial systems, including ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, S4/HANA).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and key change programs, focusing on operationalization, efficiencies, and controls as well as improving customer/employee experience.
  • Explore the use of AI for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Partner with broader Finance and collaborate with other departments on strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • A university undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in finance roles within global organizations (>10 years), including at least 5 years as a team lead.
  • Experience working in Big Four.
  • Experience with change programs, including IT systems implementation and/or reorganizations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with individuals at all levels, including senior executives.
