Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience Excellence

We expect our General Manager to develop and implement systems that enhance customer satisfaction in all outlets.

This includes overseeing food preparation, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality and consistency, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, meal availability, and scheduling, and providing swift, friendly, and hygienic service.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for addressing and minimizing issues such as order mix-ups, cancellations, foreign objects, and meal unavailability.

Building a High-Performing Team

The ideal candidate will have experience in recruiting, training, and developing managers, area managers, and outlet crew to create a cohesive and efficient workforce.

This includes establishing a training academy and implementing ongoing training initiatives, setting up incentive structures, reporting lines, and processes to reward performance, and addressing underperformance promptly to maintain a high standard of operations.

Profitability & Financial Management

The General Manager will be responsible for managing the profit and loss statement (P&L) of outlets, driving revenue through excellent service and local store marketing, optimizing labor costs and reducing logistics, management, and waste overhead expenses.

Expansion & Growth

The successful candidate will lead the rollout and operational launch of new outlets and joint ventures, such as drive-through and container outlets.

Requirements:

  • A degree in business, entrepreneurship, management, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of F&B experience as a GM/Asst GM.
  • A good understanding of the Malaysia business environment, competitive landscape, and operational challenges in the F&B sector.
  • Proficiency in managing the entire restaurant business process, including budgeting and forecasting with strong numerical instincts.
  • Excellent people skills with good leadership and management qualities.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English with impactful presentation skills and competent public speaking abilities.
  • A self-disciplined, outcome-driven person with a dynamic personality who always strives for better results.
  • Business travel and working on weekends/public holidays may be required at times.
