Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Operations Manager to lead our Geo and Product Tech families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, planning, and ensuring the smooth running of geo operations to meet our objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Team Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the mapping team, ensuring high-quality map delivery and timely completion of projects.
  • Strategic Project Management: Lead team leads on data analysis and innovative reporting to support mapping initiatives, and coordinate with vendors to monitor project progress.
  • Team Development: Develop team members' skills in the mapping process for efficiency and accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive regional mapping projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct local and regional training sessions, perform quality checks, and handle translation and transcription where needed.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, monitor, and analyze large sets of geo data using proprietary software and internal tools, and develop strategies to improve map data quality and efficiency.
  • Leadership: Manage and lead a lean team from mapping and product operations, plan and execute production activities, and motivate the team to accomplish these plans.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and enforce production and central processes across the organization, establish, monitor, and enforce quality standards, and identify employee training needs.
  • Decision Making: Liaise with leadership to make decisions for operational activities, strategic goals, and budgets, and supervise staff from cross-cultural markets.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and established map industry regulations, and champion proficiency for current industry practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Geography, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data processing, geospatial analysis, automation processes, and project management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in QGIS/ArcGIS, SQL, Python, and Google App Script, and solid working experience in generative AI.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and understanding of open data sources like OpenStreetMap and the mapping industry's legal rules and guidelines.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and driving strategic projects in a high-paced work environment, and strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentorship.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and influence various stakeholders.
