We are seeking a highly skilled Project/Senior Manager to join our team at Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving project planning, organization, management, and control to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects, facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with business units, technical teams, governance teams, and service providers to ensure project implementation plans are aligned and executed effectively.
- Track project deliverables, providing direction and support to project teams, and identifying and reporting project issues, slippage of tasks or milestones, and project risks.
- Conduct Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure team alignment and progress.
- Eliminate impediments and address issues proactively to maintain team focus on achieving project objectives.
- Provide timely reports on project status, budget spending, risks, and issues to enable early visibility into project performance.
- Promote and take accountability for project quality, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Manage project changes, ensuring any changes to the project baseline are managed through change requests and all impacts are considered.
- Adopt an agile and flexible approach to work, demonstrating outstanding professionalism and conduct.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives with organizational impact, ensuring PMO practices, documentation, approach, and governance processes are applied consistently.
Requirements
- Minimum degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of working experience as a Project Manager in the related field.
- Experience in project management documents, such as tender preparation, presentation, proposal, project update, reports, stakeholders, issues, and risk management.
- Experience in IT and software development lifecycle is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-player attitude and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize information and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
- Excellent people management, planning, and organization skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
