Job Overview

Publicis Groupe, a world-renowned communications group, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Media Planning Director to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional results for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Management

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and providing tailored media solutions to meet their needs.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of media plans and campaigns.

    • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

    • Develop and implement strategic media plans that align with client goals and objectives.
  2. Business Partner Management

    • Foster strong relationships with senior business partners, including creative and media owners, to stay informed about industry developments and trends.

    • Conduct regular briefings to ensure alignment with client objectives and identify opportunities for value-added services.

    • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure best value for clients.
  3. Research & Media Applications Proficiency

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest media systems and technologies, including advanced functions and proprietary consumer insight applications.

    • Provide training and support to team members on media applications and tools.

    • Analyze data and insights to inform media planning decisions and optimize campaign performance.
  4. Industry Knowledge (Consumer, Business or Brand Insights)

    • Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and implications for businesses.

    • Evaluate the strategic implications of media and industry developments, identifying opportunities and threats to businesses.
  5. Investment Management

    • Optimize investment allocation across media channels and brands to maximize ROI.

    • Provide investment consultation to clients on budget allocation and media planning strategies.

    • Manage cost management for brands across media channels.
  6. Corporate Responsibility

    • Participate in pitches and presentations to secure new business opportunities.

    • Drive awards submissions and recognition for outstanding work.

    • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with function/practice leads on best practice development.
Requirements


• 8-10 years of media planning experience, with a focus on strategic and operational planning and execution, in regional/global accounts.

• Knowledgeable about integrated planning concepts, approaches, and issues.

• Familiar with digital ecosystems and new approaches to digital tactical planning.

• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.

• Supervisory skills and knowledge of various research systems.

• Technical proficiency in media systems and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
