**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Maybank Investment Banking Group as an Associate Director, Regional Corporate Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and maintaining a strong relationship between the bank and large local corporates, while also driving business growth and effective capital management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Lead and maintain a good relationship between the bank and large local corporates, ensuring strong business partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Credit and Asset Quality Management: Lead and inculcate the team's good credit and asset quality management practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise Account Officers and Account Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
  • Business Growth and Capital Management: Facilitate loans growth and effective capital management at the team level, aligning with the overall Corporate Banking business strategy.
  • Client Analysis and Financing: Understand clients' financing requirements, perform detailed analysis and evaluation, and structure detailed financing terms.
  • Proposal and Negotiation: Recommend proposal and/or detailed terms sheets for pitching and negotiation with clients.
  • Business Origination: Identify business opportunities and cross-sell GB products as Business Origination.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance, Banking, or Accounting, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics. Individuals holding Credit/Banking Certification will be an asset.
  • Experience: 8 to 12 years' experience in wholesale/commercial/global banking.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with good grasp of financial analysis, excellent interpersonal and writing skills to ensure effective delivery of credit reports and communication with stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Good business sense, a customer-centric mindset, resourceful, reliable, and responsible individual.
