About the Role

As a Senior Cardlink / VisionPlus System Analyst at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and enhancement of Cardlink or other card platforms using COBOL on Mainframe systems.

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions on Cardlink or VisionPlus platforms.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM for Card and Payments processing.

You will be responsible for ensuring a thorough understanding of the business process, transaction flows, and card payment ecosystems. You will work closely with business users, IT teams, vendors, and external partners to gather and clarify requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to integrate and optimize card payment solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure code quality and adherence to business rules.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system designs, workflows, and coding standards.
  • Provide L3 support, analyze system failures, and troubleshoot production issues in real-time payment transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience (6+ years) in Mainframe Development (COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM).
  • Strong technical skills in Cardlink / VisionPlus / any card processing system.
  • Experience in payments and cards domain expertise.
  • Familiarity with system analysis and business process understanding.
  • Solid understanding of debugging and troubleshooting in a mainframe environment.
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance in mainframe applications.
