Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to join our client, a pioneering health tech startup, as part of their continued growth. NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a talented professional to join their Malaysia team, working closely with their Boston-based headquarters.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop cutting-edge embedded software and hardware for innovative imaging products, focusing on ultra-low power consumption and efficient wireless communication.
  2. Implement and optimize low-power wireless protocols, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), sub-GHz, and Wi-Fi, to ensure seamless connectivity.
  3. Integrate image sensors, MEMS sensors, MCUs, and wireless modules to create compact and power-efficient designs that meet the highest standards.
  4. Develop and implement power management strategies, such as energy harvesting, battery management, and dynamic power scaling, to maximize battery life and reduce environmental impact.
  5. Conduct rigorous testing for reliability, performance, and compliance, ensuring that all products meet or exceed industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to prototyping and testing.
  7. Document design choices and contribute to technical and user documentation, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
  8. Stay at the forefront of trends in embedded systems, wireless communication, and low-power design, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems design, with a focus on wireless and low-power technologies.
  3. Expertise in BLE, Wi-Fi, and sub-GHz protocols, with a strong understanding of their applications and limitations.
  4. Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems, with experience in low-level programming and optimization.
  5. Experience with low-power wireless communication, image sensors, and power management techniques, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop creative solutions.

Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), with a focus on embedded systems and low-power applications.
  2. Knowledge of FCC standards for wireless communication, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
  3. Experience in developing medical devices, security cameras, or IoT products, with a focus on safety, security, and reliability.
