The Banking Policy Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the bank's policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. This includes coordinating and reporting on the bank's annual policies and SOPs declaration and review status for BARMC purposes.

Main Tasks:

  • Coordinate the bank's annual policies and SOPs declaration and review status for BARMC purposes;
  • Review and provide advisory on the review/approval process of the bank's policies and SOPs from business units based on respective annual review cycles;
  • Perform gap analyses on updated regulatory documents against existing regulations to identify areas for improvement;
  • Review Gift and Entertainment (G&E) submissions to ensure proper documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements;
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of applicable regulatory requirements based on action plans arising from the bank's Compliance Circulars;
  • Renew Personal Data Protection (PDP) certification, address queries related to PDP, and ensure timely compliance with new regulations;
  • Support Investment Banking related matters (e.g., document reviews, regulator checks, and BRAC meeting coordination);
  • Collaborate with the business/operations unit to foster a culture of compliance within the bank.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or Law, or equivalent field;
  • At least 1 year of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit-related fields;
  • Familiarity with BNM's rules and regulations;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills;
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience and a keen interest are welcome to apply.
