Business Development Specialist

At OCBC, we are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for acquiring new merchants and growing sales from different channels within an assigned portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in account/client management, business development, or partnership. They should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to derive actionable insights from data and research.
- Familiarity with merchant background is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder and team player to achieve outstanding results.
This includes:
- Acquiring new merchant accounts and increasing non-GE merchant segments.
- Managing an assigned merchant portfolio by building good relationships and preventing attrition.
- Collaborating with Card Usage Team on marketing promotions by soliciting offers.
- Participating in Bank's ongoing project initiatives for new business channels or system enhancements.
- Contributing to Bank's compliance activities like Merchant High-risk review and Third Party Service Provider Review.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
