Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and results-focused Technical Engineer to join our expanding team. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, exceptional customer service, and effective project management. The ideal candidate will be a skilled problem-solver with a strong passion for technology and a keen interest in the manufacturing sector.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of customer product samples, generating comprehensive reports and presenting findings clearly and effectively.
  • Provide exceptional technical support to customers, primarily remotely but with occasional on-site visits as needed.
  • Execute on-site installations/setups of vision systems with precision, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales personnel during on-site demonstrations, delivering technical presentations and addressing customer inquiries confidently.
  • Be prepared to travel to various locations for customer visits and project implementations when required.
  • Communicate closely with technical members at the Tokyo HQ, utilizing English or Japanese as needed, to ensure successful project execution and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or an equivalent technical field with 3-5 years of experience in engineering-related roles.
  • Experience in factory automation (FA) or image inspection is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Malay, Mandarin, and English is preferred, with a JLPT N3 or higher level in Japanese being a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic, a willingness to take initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Possess strong analytical abilities and a systematic approach to problem-solving, enabling you to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
  • Be adaptable and open to new challenges, with a continuous desire to learn and develop your technical skills.
  • Be able to work independently while also effectively collaborating with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Possess a valid driving license and be willing to travel domestically and internationally for customer visits and project implementations.
