About the Role

The Commercial Operations Specialist will play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, including contract management, process improvement, and system maintenance.

This involves reviewing and improving processes for data capture, documentation, and record-keeping to increase accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness. You will work closely with the Business Manager, Contracts, and Finance Manager to ensure that all systems and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with company standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with other departments to ensure records and reports comply with company and legal requirements, reviewing time bookings to meet P&L expectations, and inspiring team members by communicating goals and identifying training needs.

A successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with a strong background in contract negotiation and risk management. A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, or Law is preferred, along with at least 3 years of experience in commercial, financial, or business management roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily contract activities, focusing on terms & conditions, quotations, project scope, order acknowledgments, procurement, LTSAs, local and Malaysian laws, and coordination between teams
  • Review and improve processes for data capture, documentation, and record-keeping to increase accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Ensure the Internal Management System (Unit4) updates are completed as per company standards
  • Conduct regular audits on systems and procedures, implementing necessary changes, and communicating updates to staff
  • Work with the Business Manager, Contracts, and Finance Manager to review outstanding debts and plan recovery actions
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure records and reports comply with company and legal requirements, ensuring accuracy and proper storage of documents
