Our Retail Banking division plays a crucial role in executing our strategy, providing strategic advice, frameworks, and guidance to markets to ensure customer journeys, products, and services are sustainable, inclusive, and customer-centric.
We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Premier Centre Manager, working with colleagues to define, manage, and achieve divisional business targets.
This role reports to the Branch Manager and involves strategically planning, leading, organizing, and executing all Premier business initiatives to grow customer value and Asset Under Management (AUM) in the domicile branch. The successful candidate will ensure the premier platform has a strong presence in the local market with people capability and process efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving targets and contributing towards the branch's business and bottom line, aligning with our wealth management strategy.
- Leads and manages the Premier Sales team effectively to achieve Wealth Management (WEM) targets and enhance sales staff performance and productivity.
- Analyse market, resources, and sales staff capability to devise a structured and effective sales plan for execution.
- Continuously monitor the team's daily/weekly/monthly sales performance against plan, keeping the branch manager informed of progress.
- Ensure Relationship Managers utilise HSBC's sales process and apply financial planning concepts when dealing with customers.
- Champion the Premier proposition through distinguished service and sales initiatives.
- Develop relationships with targeted top 20 and high net worth customers through frequent contacts.
- Effectively manage the Premier Centre as a one-stop Wealth Management and Premier solutions provider.
- Create a positive staff morale, motivation, and actively manage performance of the premier team.
- Maintain HSBC's internal control standards and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- At least 10 years of experience in a financial institution with relevant wealth management sales experience.
- 5-7 years in a sales leadership role managing sales team performance with high service standards.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex relationship portfolios.
- Excellent commercial acumen, leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Hard skills like P&L management and flexibility in working across complex cross-functional structures.
- Must be well-read and current on Consumer Business, premier segment, general, and international news.
- Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
- Certified Financial Planning (CFP) Certificate is required.
- Additive advantages: PreContract Examination (PCE), Federation of Investment Managers - Unit Trust, Malaysian Takaful Association License (MTA).
Prioritization will be given to candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need due to local laws and governance.
