Manager, Risk Strategy

**What is the opportunity?**

The Risk Strategy team within US Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for Risk Governance and Board reporting, Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Activity Alignment, Risk Management Framework Updates and Enterprise Risk Management related change initiatives and programs. The team also supports risk reporting across the US and Asia region covering a variety of topics in support of strong risk oversight programs. The team provides support and coverage for both US Activities and Asia Activities as required.

As a Manager, you will be responsible to for providing support to the US Director of Risk Strategy leading a small team across an evolving inventory of project and process deliverables. provide operational and client support for Settlement and Clearing across Cash Equities and Fixed Income & Currencies for global trading desks across various geographical time zones.

**Working hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM**

**What will you do?**
- Support development of frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Support ongoing enterprise risk management activities and monitoring, including issues management and risk initiative reporting.
- Support the implementation of enterprise risk related projects and programs, including project planning, reporting and execution.
- Ensure ongoing alignment to overarching authoritative sources (e.g., Head Office practices).
- Build, maintain, and enhance business relations with department and business stakeholders.
- Stay current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to RBC.
- Oversight of a small team of junior risk analysts.
- Support incremental enhancement of existing processes to align with multiple regulatory guidelines across regions and RBC CUSO subsidiaries.
- Support BAU processes in place for Asia Risk Management, including reporting, stakeholder management, and project oversight.
- Conduct research on international regulatory requirements.
- Develop and update projects plans in support of enhancement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in the execution of Enterprise Risk Management Activities.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- MBA/University Degree and/or relevant professional training.
- Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years previous experience work in a Risk Management role in a Financial Services organization.
- Preferred: Risk Management (ex. FRM) certification.
- Managing teams to meet set milestones.
- Conducting research of regulatory requirements as well as Implementing regulatory requirements.
- Supporting and responding to project audits.
- Overseeing project management activities and status updates.
- Developing presentations, policies and procedures.
- Communicating with senior management.
- Developing Risk Management Frameworks.
- Familiarity with regulations pertaining to risk management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to tailor verbal and written communication (including presentation decks) based on audience severity and past interactions.
- Project management.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office.
