Bintulu, Malaysia Equator Engineering Sdn Bhd Full time

**This position will be based in Manjung Perak, Pengerang Johor, Port Dickson Negeri Sembilan, Puchong Selangor or other location required by company.**

**Responsibilities**:

- The person is primarily responsible for overall planning, implementation, monitoring, improvement and maintenance of site safety and health programs, measure, conducting regular safety meeting, briefings, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and requirements related to safety and health at site and ensuring that site personnel are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Liaison with government and non-government bodies to ensure full compliance in all regulatory requirements.
- To monitoring of Air quality, Noise & Waste water as per the legal requirements.
- To develop systems / methodology that incorporate environmental & safety safe guards.
- Identification of the environmental deficiencies in the total project planning, quantification of the deficiencies & recommendations for corrective actions.
- Corrective measures for overall safety and environment management system.
- Coordinate and perform workplace risk assessments and routine safety audits, including recommended corrective actions.
- Work with cross functional organizations to improve and develop effective and sustainable solutions for safety.
- Conduct employee training in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene, and chemical and fire hazards.
- Response to emergency and investigate accidents, including root cause analysis, and recommend actions.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Requirements**:

- **Registered and certified Yellow Book from DOSH.**:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience specializing in Engineering - Environmental / Health / Safety or equivalent.
- Possess practical knowledge of legislation and statutory obligations related to environmental aspects.
- Familiar with all local safety / environmental rules, regulations and practices in construction sites.
- Mature, independent, initiative, cooperation, and positive working attitude.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 would be an added advantage.
