About the role

OGC BUILDER SDN BHD' is seeking a talented and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Bintulu, Sarawak. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our construction site operations. This is a full-time, on-site role that plays a critical part in maintaining our commitment to the highest standards of workplace safety.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Implementing and monitoring safety protocols, procedures and training to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Providing safety leadership and guidance to site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture
  • Maintaining detailed safety records and reporting on key performance indicators
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all site activities
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field, such as a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices applicable to the construction industry
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies, procedures and training programs
  • Proficient in using safety management software and data analysis tools
  • A genuine commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment
