- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with air transportation regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards. Manage accurate documentation, including airway bills, customs declarations, and other necessary paperwork.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor air freight performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transit time, and cargo damage. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams (such as procurement, sales, and customer service) to align air freight operations with overall supply chain goals. Build relationships with external partners, including airlines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Cost Management: Analyze air freight costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement measures to optimize expenditure. Monitor budget adherence and report on financial performance.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and manage any air freight-related disruptions or emergencies, such as flight cancellations, cargo damage, or regulatory issues. Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain business continuity.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess air freight processes and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements. Implement best practices, technology solutions, and automation to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.

**Job Requirements**
- Proven experience in managing air freight operations within a supply chain context.
- Strong track record of successfully coordinating air shipments, including handling documentation and compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating contracts and building relationships with airlines and freight partners.
- Experience in optimizing air freight processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ability to effectively manage risks and handle disruptions in air transportation.
- Proficiency in utilizing air freight management software and tracking systems.
- Prior experience in performance monitoring, cost management, and implementing process improvements.
- Demonstrated crisis management skills to handle emergencies and maintain business continuity.
