Key accountabilities for Underwriting Manager:

- To perform risk assessment of all life and health products including jumbo/large sums assured of High Net Worth individuals (HNWI)
- To work closely with new business and distribution team to review underwriting guidelines and ensure that service delivery and production targets are met.
- To review appeals, post-issuance issues and handle post claim underwriting and assessment.
- To reduce operational risk by ensuring compliance of internal policies, procedures, treaties, guidelines and regulations.
- To provide training and consultation support to distribution channels as well as internal staff
- Underwriting lead to develop risk selection parameters for new product / propositions for both DTC and IFA channel.
- Identify and enhance automated underwriting rules to improve end-to-end straight through processing (STP) and customers’ experience.
- Guide and support, including but not limited to UAT, to build and enhance the underwriting rules engine.
- Manage panel of clinics and medical costs.

**Requirements**:

- Degree holder (in business, nursing, insurance, biochemistry, etc) and insurance professional certificates (CII, LOMA, etc).
- Preferably with 8-10 years of underwriting experience in life and health insurance and technical case underwriting especially for large/jumbo cases and HNW.
- With supervisory and mentoring experience.
- Holds a current underwriting authority of SGD 3M (or equivalent) for retail products.
- Strong knowledge in life & health insurance and good understanding on relevant regulatory requirements
- Preferably with good understanding on Singapore regulatory and governance.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
