Housekeeping Room and Public Area Attendant

Having a background in hospitality and the familiarity with hotel systems will be crucial to help provide the highest possible service for our guests. You would be required to work varying shifts throughout the week and weekend to help with the business / operational needs of the hotel.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Greeting guest and responding to queries
- Vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping and polishing guest rooms, as directed by your Quality Keepers or Housekeeping Manager
- Stock and sort supplies
- Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries
- Emptying trash containers
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
- Following hotel guidelines and policies to ensure highest level of service provided for the customer
- Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar
- Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Updating Quality Keepers of room status and assignment sheet records
- Ensure all items and appliances within the guest rooms are in working order and report to Maintenance if needed
- To ensure all housekeeping pantries are well stock and ready for the Caretaker to utilize
- Be in constant communication with the Quality Keepers to ensure to inform when the room is ready for guest use
- Basic understanding of chemical usage and handling procedures to ensure proper safety precautions are followed and maintained
- Ensure a proper handover is conducted for the following shift
- Flexible work hours and weekend shifts will be required (possible overnight shifts)
**; Requirements**:
- Minimum SPM/STPM required, or advanced Diploma in hospitality.
- 1 year of previous Housekeeping experience preferred
- Excellent moral, team building skills with a pro-active work approach
- Ability to learn on the job and maintain a well-presented appearance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, English is a must, additional languages are advantages
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time and able to work without supervision
- Hotel Pre-Opening Experience preferred
