What is this position about?
Responsible for enforcing quality control on site, to ensure that the installation of the Mechanical and Electrical Services complies with the Technical Specification and Drawings of the Contract Documents
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Builder’s on standard of workmanship to be achieved.
- Monitor the progress of Building Services Works and maintain site records.
- Carry out daily inspections of the building services works and check for conformity with drawings and specification.
- Attend Contractor’s progress meetings, sub-contractors and utility coordination meetings, and any other ad hoc meetings.
- Liaise with Architect’s and C&S Resident Engineer and/ or Clerk-of-Works on all site matters.
- Reports all unsatisfactory work and order re-execution where necessary.
- Report to Employer for removal of any unacceptable building services materials.
- Check the building services works setting out in conjunction with the Architect.
- Check that the equipment and material use, and site installation works are in strict compliance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications.
- Ensuring that installation, mechanical, electrical and construction standards are adhered to by contractors
- Monitoring the standards of work, promoting best practice, health and safety on site, and risk mitigation
- Liaising between the contractor, the project delivery team, and the client stakeholders and departments to ensure smooth running of the project on site
- Providing technical advice to resolve immediate problems on site whilst maintaining overall project standards
- Attend and witness testing and commissioning of various building services works.
- Assist in liaising with Architect’s and C&S Resident Engineer and / or Clerk-of-Works for matters of access, site logistics, utilities connections, etc, for building services works.
- Resolve co-ordination problems encountered on site relating to the building services works.
- Assist to submit weekly report covering the following:
- Labour and supervisors on site
- Progress in relation to Contractor’s original and current programme
- Operations started during the month
- Operations completed during the month
- Major equipment/ materials deliveries to site
- Changes, delays and difficulties
- Prepare programme and agree with Employer for inspection of defects.
- Co-ordinate and schedule inspection of defects with Builder.
- Assist to analyses all claims documents submitted by the Contractor by checking against site records.
- Keep proper records including but not limited to defects lists and rectification done; signed off inspection forms and T&C records.

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
