GENERAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
- Develop project from conceptual design through final construction documents and coordinate construction administration.
- Plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Work closely with clients, consultants and project team to provide intelligent solutions and strategies on projects.
- Manage architectural work to achieve quality and efficiency within budgeted deadlines.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
- (Proactively) manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans to be presented to clients/consultants/contractors.
- Resolve complex technical/design issues and completion of architectural technical deliverables of a project in a timely manner.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- To assist Directors/HOD in any matters pertaining to the job at hand or when and where necessary.
- To attend Client Consultant/Technical/Site/Coordination meetings for the job at hand.
- To attend all authority requirement (meetings, submissions, inspections, etc.) where and when required.

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT
- Provide overall technical project leadership on projects.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Effectively delegate tasks to other team members, provide guidance to the team, supervise and mentor intermediate and junior staff.
- Coordinate team in preparation and delivery of project deliverables.
- Communicate effectively project expectations to team members (and stakeholders) in a timely and clear fashion.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members, (contractors or consultants) in order to deliver projects according to plan.
- Communicate daily and manage project team and properly interface with clients and local authority officials.
- Resolve contract issues with project team.
- Train and advice project team on contractual matters and applicable by-laws and fire requirements.
- To monitor work on site from time to time (via inspections and meetings) and to ensure work is done according to the contracts.
