The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and hygiene. This role leads menu planning, kitchen staff management, cost control, and the overall culinary direction of the hotel/restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Create and update menus, ensuring a balance of innovation, customer preferences, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
- Control food costs by managing inventory, waste, and efficient kitchen practices.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and motivation.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager and other departments for promotions, events, and special functions.
- Maintain excellent supplier relationships and oversee ordering and stock management.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and facilities in good working condition.
- Set and enforce standards for portion size, quality, and presentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Manage scheduling and labor costs in line with business levels.
- Handle customer feedback regarding food quality, making improvements where needed.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role.
- Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
- Good business sense — understanding of cost control, budgeting, and profitability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on team development.
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
