Credit Control Manager

**Description**:
The role of Credit Control Manager is crucial in ensuring that activpayroll is paid in full and on time for the valuable work that we do for our customers. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing a team of Credit Control professionals in pursuing, collecting and allocating payments from our customers across all of our global subsidiaries, including playing a leading role in establishing and improving standard operating procedures for the team.

This role will join our growing Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, working as part of a wider global finance operation which is headquartered in the UK. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a truly global role with lots of development opportunity.

**On a typical day, you’ll be**:

- Chasing overdue debt for our largest customers and being a point of escalation for the team as they are resolving customer invoicing Reviewing aged debt reports and identifying overdue accounts to be prioritised for action within the credit control team
- Ensuring statements are sent monthly and other scheduled tasks are completed by the team
- Reporting performance of the credit control team against targets
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial and operations teams along with senior members of the Finance function
- Presenting daily/weekly/monthly reports on aged debt to senior leaders within the business
- Leading, training and motivating the credit control team to improve performance and skillsets
- Continuously evaluating and refining the credit control functions processes and implementing best practice for credit management

**To be truly effective you will**:

- Have substantial experience in credit control as well as experience of managing a team
- Experience of managing credit control in a busy and growing, multinational, multicurrency business
- Be driven to influence and lead your team to get the best out of them
- Be assertive in requesting payment while remaining polite and professional in your interactions with customers
- Thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy the sense of urgency that comes with this role
- Have excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Have intermediate Excel skills (manipulating large data sets using e.g. XLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Experience of NetSuite would be advantageous but full training will be provided
