R&d Project Manager

NI R&D has a tremendous variety of projects and products, and currently has an opening in Penang, Malaysia for a R&D Project Manager. This is a great opportunity for individual who wants to innovate and work among a highly skilled and motivated team on cutting edge technology.

Individual contributor to manage various complexity projects. The Project Manager will develop strategic working relationship with the development team, project stake holders and project sponsor. Also, this person will be responsible for continuous improvement, cost savings, hardware revision project and product lifecycle management.

**Core Job Responsibilities**:

- Work with R&D team members and product planning team on both project and product life cycle management.
- Manage continuous improvement, cost savings, hardware revision project and EOL product.
- EOL component strategy for product life cycle planning.
- Responsible for execution such as Agile ECO/MCO, Phase-out notice, prototype build & MVR (Manufacturing Verification Readiness).
- Leads effective project meeting.
- Develop positive team work and facilitate team collaboration across multiple functions.
- Work across groups globally to align effort & expectation.

**Position Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical, Electronics or Computing Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant full-time experience in R&D with passion dealing with people.
- Excellent English language proficiency and communication skill with all levels of organization.
- Knowledge in Agile product lifecycle management system.
- Good understand in technologies such as PXI, PCIe, motherboard architecture, modular instrument and controller architecture will be a plus.
- Demonstrate great teamwork and ability to interact across R&D and Manufacturing team.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and has effective problem-solving skillset.
