We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and personable Wi-Fi Construction Manager who can help us bring wireless RAN (radio access network) and transmission network deployment to our projects. Based in our friendly Irvine office, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing technical aspects and solutions for our network implementation projects.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the field team, you’ll be responsible managing activities, personnel, and budgets, ensuring work is executed within project safety requirements. You will be involved with civil works, installation, and repair of RAN-related equipment to ensure customer expectations are met. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:
- Supervise the technical crew, act as a job site representative for safety requirements, coordinate with contractors, facilities representatives, handle negotiations for bids, prepare contracts, and resolve problems as they arise- Plan, organize, and manage construction projects related to voice and data infrastructure according to design documents, industry best practices and quality standards- Modify design documents (redline markups) when changes occur- Working with Safety personnel to manage on site safety requirements- Interfacing with Procurement, Management, Engineering, Field Staff, Contractors, Site Representatives, and others- Participate in pre

- 5+ years’ experience in civil, mechanical, electrical or RF construction engineering- Must have a familiarity with wireless system buildouts including equipment, tools, and testing methodologies- Must have expertise in voice and data communication systems, including network infrastructure, cabling, and equipment in a datacenter environment- Must possess familiarity reading and interpreting test results including PIM, coax sweep, fiber test results and others- Must have a strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, codes, and regulations, including electrical (NEC), building, and federal / state requirements around installation specifications and quality control including previous exposure to civil work- Must understand network quality, patching, maintenance and repair principles and protocols including design documentation such as blueprints, network specifications, installation & testing (PIM/Fiber / Power / Line Sweep), quality inspections and maintenance of equipment, cleaning, and servicing to ensure work completed is to expected standard- Demonstrate familiarity with engineering principles and protocols including Wi-Fi, RF, Fiber and electromechanical, as it relates to network operation, repair, and maintenance- Must possess knowledge of contractor management practices and processes to ensure quality, safety, support and adherence to construction management principles and guidelines in collaboration with project managers for project management compliance- Must have working knowledge of vendor and inventory management, including stakeholder management to ensure inventory position is accurately communicated and maintained (location and supply levels)- Possess industry knowledge and currency in safety requirements (OSHA compliance) technology, product or solution advancements, equipment developments and network enhancements e.g., fiber, Voice, 5G, Data- Must have structured cabling experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, etc.- OSHA-10 certification required- Knowledge of civil construction methods- Familiarity with safe work principles- Ability to provide expert guidance to others on site- Ability to document or assist in documentation of work being done- Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and testing
