Responsibilities
- Receive and arrange to process purchase requisitions from various departments, enter into the JDE system after obtaining and negotiating the lowest price, ensure the price is within project budget, initiate & obtain management approval, and place orders on approved vendors in a timely manner.
- Arrange to identify vendors for various supplies, arrange for minimum three quotations, negotiate the lowest rate (s) and best terms, arrange for the vendor to be placed on the approved vendor list, if not already done, after the vetting process, make comparative statements, and enter details into the vendor data bank.
- Arrange to process requisitions for raw steel material for procurement from Dubai, liaise with Dubai procurement department for placing purchase orders, follow through for timely delivery, in coordination with the planning and accounts departments. For raw material of small quantity, urgent deliveries or negligible impact to cost procurement from local sources to be followed through as done for other items.
- The inventory of tool, tackle, scaffolding, temporary steel and equipment is to be maintained, including location and condition, updated every month and stored
- Based on specific requisitions, arrange to identify the hiring companies dealing in the item, obtain rates, negotiate rates, select the company that meets all the project requirements and place order, following the established procurement procedure. Follow up must be maintained with the vendor to ensure the right equipment reaches the destination within the specified time
- Arrange to identify the item that meets all the specification requirements, identify the vendor, arrange to get DAL approval for purchase and then follow the set procurement procedure.
- Other duties as and when required by Management
