Job Summary: The Manager of Community Engagement and Sustainability holds a pivotal role in developing platforms and mobilising students and staff to learn through serving the community, instilling a culture of sustainability within the university community, and fostering meaningful collaborations with external stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the university's sustainability goals and contribute to the betterment of the university community as well as the local community. The Manager will work closely with the Dean for Community Engagement and Sustainability, and the Office of Community Engagement and Sustainability as a team with the following primary roles and responsibilities: a) Manages and implements community engagement and sustainability strategies that require IMU internal and external stakeholders to work collaboratively to contribute to the primary outcomes that drive IMU community engagement and sustainability agenda. b) Foster mutually beneficial outcomes in the university-community partnerships. Job Requirement: A university degree 4 - 7 years of experience in community engagement and sustainability projects. Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills, coupled with strong follow up skills. Excellent listening, follow-through, and time-management skills. Strong communication and writing skills (spoken and written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrate capability to deal effectively with diversity of individuals at all organizational levels, including academicians, students, corporate personnel, local authorities, community and others, exercise discretion, composing responses in a professional manner. Technical savvy (comfort working with and around recent technologies). Proactive, resourceful and meticulous. Excellent capability to pull and organize data, strong organizational and analytical skills.
